Wednesday, October 10th

Third through seventh graders joined us for another Wonderful Wednesday today.  Hebrew was one of the big focuses for the day!

The seventh grade students were tested on the Bar'chu, practiced reading the Friday Night Kiddush and  discussed the story of Cain and Abel.

Our sixth graders began officially working on Hebrew script and played a game to practice.  They have started their prayer study and have homework to read pages 9-14 in the "Let Freedom Ring" book and to get their own family story.

Students in the fifth grade class finished their discussion of the recent holidays and began their Hebrew work as they read and practiced writing the first three lines of Bereshit.

Third and fourth graders practiced the Hebrew and English names of the books of the Torah, reviewed Simchat Torah, and practiced the Hebrew letters aleph, bet and vet.  Their homework is to practice writing aleph, bet and vet and learn the names of the Five Books of the Torah perfectly.

We're all looking forward to another fun day on Sunday!  Our Confirmation class will go on their trip to NYC with Rabbi Offner!  We can't wait to hear about their wonderful trip!
